Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum credit score (CIBIL) for a Loan Against Property?
There is no single rule for every bank. Each lender has its own cut-off. A higher credit score (CIBIL) usually helps, but banks also look at late payments, settled loans and how many times you have asked for a loan lately.
How many years of ITR are required?
Usually two to three years of ITRs with computation of income, plus audited financials where applicable. Some programmes accept one year with additional banking or GST evidence.
Do I need audited financials?
If your business is liable to tax audit, lenders will ask for audited statements. For larger loans, lenders generally expect audited financials regardless.
What are the age limits for LAP?
Lenders commonly require the borrower to be at least 21–25 years at application and set a maximum age at loan maturity, often around 65–70 for self-employed borrowers. A younger co-applicant can help.
