Overdraft loan in Chennai

An overdraft (OD) is a running working-capital limit, often backed by property or fixed deposits. Unlike cash credit, the drawable amount is usually not reworked from monthly stock statements. JR Loan Advisors helps prepare OD cases for Chennai and Tamil Nadu MSMEs. Fee usually applies; agreed in writing first.

When Chennai businesses use an overdraft

Overdraft suits businesses that need flexible cash but do not want — or do not fit — a stock-and-bills cash credit. Typical Chennai uses: professionals with uneven bill collections; traders who prefer property as security; manufacturers adding OD beside CC; borrowers moving a high-EMI LAP into a dropline OD when the bank offers it.

What a bank checks on a Chennai overdraft

What a bank checks on a Chennai overdraft

  1. Collateral quality — title, CMDA/local-body approval, valuation and marketability.
  2. Repayment capacity — Fixed Obligation to Income Ratio (FOIR) or debt service cover (DSCR), banking conduct, existing EMIs.
  3. End-use — working capital vs prohibited or unsupported purposes.
  4. Account conduct — if you already have limits elsewhere, cheque returns and overdrawings matter.
  5. Dropline vs clean OD — some products reduce the limit over time (dropline); others stay flat until review.
